ACLU of Oklahoma Advocacy Day

April 6, 2023 @ 9:00 am 4:00 pm

Many of you have answered the call to action as we have seen some of the worst attacks on civil liberties this legislative session. Now we asking you to join us at the Oklahoma State Capitol on April 6th as we bring back the ACLU of Oklahoma’s Advocacy Day.

This year, our efforts will focus on an issue that has grabbed media attention over the last several years, the death penalty.

Capital punishment is in a decline nationwide, while support is at a historic low in the modern era. Oklahoma joins only a handful of other states in carrying out executions. The continued use of the death penalty has no place in any society that values human dignity and justice. It is time we end it once and for all.

This event is free and open to the public.
