This year's theme is "Growing Together: Stronger, More United," and we are so grateful that we will be showing a united front by standing in solidarity with the Hispanic and immigrant community in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.
We're still looking for about 20 additional people to walk with us. Please invite your friends, family, and neighbors! Registration will stay open until the parade begins.
Here are the key details for Saturday. Do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
ARRIVAL LOCATION
ACLU-OK Marchers will meet near the sidewalk in lower Scissortail Park on the cross section of S. Robinson Ave and (what would be) SW 12th Street. See the attached map. Here is a map pin of the approximate location. You’ll find our team lined up there in light green shirts. Please note: Since so many groups are meeting up at the same time, the location may change slightly. Continue looking for light green ACLU-OK shirts and text/call Emaure if you can't find us.
ARRIVAL TIME
ACLU-OK staff will arrive at 8:45 a.m. to check in and get ready to welcome our marchers. Marcher arrival time: Please arrive between 9:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. The parade kicks off promptly at 10:00 a.m.

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING
In true Oklahoma fashion, it is hard to expect what the weather will look like on Saturday. I recommend checking the weather on the morning of the parade. We’ll also come prepared with plenty of supplies, but feel free to bring your own as well:
PARADE ROUTE
The parade starts at SW 15th St and Robinson Drive, heads east to SW 25th St, and continues south to S. Hudson. The entire walk is just over 1 mile long. We’ll exit the route near S. Hudson and SW 25th St with officers directing the flow.
PARADE AWARENESS
Please remember that anyone marching with the ACLU of Oklahoma is serving as a representative of our organization, and we have a strict non-engagement policy with protesters or anyone with an anti-ACLU message. This is for your safety. ACLU-OK staff will be present the entire time as well.
FINAL NOTES
We are so grateful that you are choosing to spend the OKC Fiestas de las Américas Parade with ACLU-OK! This event is full of joy and community, and that wouldn't be possible without every person there. Please be patient upon arrival; it’ll be a busy morning, and we want everything to run as smoothly as possible. If you have any trouble finding our group, feel free to text or call Emaure at 405-881-9761 for assistance.
Don't forget that registration is still open, and we would love for you to invite your friends and family to march with us!
We can’t wait to celebrate with you and show up loud and proud for culture, community, and unity!
