Key objectives include working with and expanding the number of supporters and members on the ground to ensure the protection of civil liberties in Oklahoma; represent ACLU-OK in community coalitions that; build credibility in the community and with elected officials in order to positively influence programs and decisions that further ACLU-OK’s mission. The Organizer will report to the Organizing Manager. The Organizer will also work closely with other members of the American Civil Liberties Union Development, Legal, and Communications teams to lead and assist outreach activities and assist with local fundraising events as needed.

Interns will have the opportunity to learn about the breadth of the ACLU’s work, to understand the issues facing Oklahomans, and to practice skills like legal research and writing and crafting litigation strategy. This internship can be full- or part-time with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week. It is a remote optional position based in Oklahoma City. It is open to all law students who will have completed their 1L year. Compensation for this position is $15 an hour for a maximum of 20 hours a week. Priority consideration will be given to candidates who apply by February 3, 2025, but we will review applications on a rolling basis and may fill the position before then. We hope to hire two interns.
