Rebecca received her Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. There she was a clinic student at the Cardozo Civil Rights Clinic, where she worked on improving conditions of confinement at the Louisiana State Penitentiary. She was also a clinic student at the Cardozo Criminal Defense Clinc, where she represented people charged with crimes in Manhattan Criminal Court. Rebecca was also a staff editor on the Cardozo Law Review. She had her student note published in the Cardozo Law Review; the note examined the impact of New York anti-discrimination law on the placement of incarcerated transgender people in either male or female facilities. Rebecca also received her Master of Public Health in Health Management and Policy of the Emory Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to that Rebecca graduated with honors with Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa.

Rebecca joined the ACLU of Oklahoma in August of 2025. She is working on cases impacting the free speech of protestors, academic freedom in schools, and 2SLGBTQ+ Rights. Prior to working for the Affiliate, Rebecca was a deputy public defender for the Colorado Office of the State public defender for two years. There Rebecca was a trial lawyer represented indigent people who were accused of crimes in county criminal court. In her free time, Rebecca likes to make cocktails, ride her bike, and play Dungeon and Dragons.
